Frequently asked
Answers about how the house works. Anything not answered here is answered by a person through the Contact page.
What is Nexum?
Nexum is an examining house for founder-led digital businesses. A founder files a structured record; one analyst reads it whole, asks up to five questions the record cannot answer, and signs a report that says where the model holds, where it strains, and what would prove either. A second reviewer reads the record and the report and signs before delivery. Reports enter a public register on the founder’s consent.
Who is an examination for?
Two services, set by stage. Standard is for a founder with something built and before revenue — a product or a credible prototype with evidence to examine. Advanced is for an operating business with revenue and figures to recompute. An idea without a build is declined before payment.
What does it cost?
Standard is $500. Advanced is $1,000. The fee is paid when the record is filed. The Fees page lists every price the house charges, and the Refund Policy sets out when a fee is returned.
What happens after I file?
An analyst claims the record and writes a frame before any draft exists. Within the first days you receive up to five written questions; you answer within three. The analyst completes the report, a second reviewer signs it, and it is delivered under its reference within fourteen days of filing.
What do I receive?
A signed report in seven sections: verdict and keystone, problem and demand, solution and delta, market and competition, model and economics, go-to-market, team, and risk with dated falsifiers. Findings are typed and ranked by load. Every material finding states what would prove it wrong. The report ends with a paragraph on what the analysis rests on and what it cannot yet know. Two specimen reports are published in full on the Examinations page.
Can the verdict be adverse?
Yes. The report says what the record supports. If you consent to publication, it is published either way, with your reply printed beside it, unedited.
Who reads my record?
The assigned analyst, the second reviewer, and staff administering the platform. Drafting is assisted by AI under commercial terms that exclude training on your material; the analyst’s judgment sections are written by the analyst. Processing terms and providers are set out in the Privacy Policy. Nothing leaves the house except as you elect.
Is my record published?
Only with your consent, and only the report and the fields you choose. You elect named or blind mode. Named customers, investors and partners are redacted on request. Findings are not redacted.
What is the register?
The register is the public record of delivered examinations. Each entry carries the report, its reference and signatures, the founder’s reply, and the founder’s own later updates. When a falsifier’s date arrives, the house records whether it resolved and how.
What is the Founding Faculty?
The Founding Faculty is fifty Fellow seats and an open number of Member seats, granted by application. Members read the register. Fellows read the register and may request introductions to examined companies that have stated an intent — partnerships, pilots, distribution, advisory. Fellows do not sign verdicts, and the platform arranges no investment.
Does Nexum take equity, invest, or make grants?
No. The house sells examinations and seats. It takes no equity, no revenue share, and no financial interest in the businesses it examines, and it makes no grants.
What does the timestamp on my record mean?
When you file, the house computes a cryptographic digest of the record and issues a dated receipt, so the version you filed can be verified later as unchanged. The receipt and digest are shown on your record page and can be downloaded.
Where is my data held, and under what law?
The platform is operated by NEXUM ANALYTICS LTD, registered in England and Wales, and its agreements are governed by the law of England and Wales. Data is hosted in the European Union. Retention and your rights are set out in the Privacy Policy.
Can I file from anywhere?
Yes. Founders file from any country. Fees are charged in US dollars; applicable taxes are added at checkout.
